Gran Duca Colla SpA commenced its activity in 1921 out of a small dairy farm in Cadeo, in the province of Piacenza, Italy. Today the milk comes from farms situated in the territory of the Province of Piacenza, bordering the area of production of Parmigiano Reggiano. Over decades and generations, Colla has been constantly increasing the production of Grana, ranking today among the leading Italian grana companies. The company operates three production dairy farms to a total of 150,000 wheels a year, between Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano as well as two seasoning warehouses to a top capacity of 650,000 wheels.
